i stood on a ledge
not knowing
which way i
would fall
muffled voices
heart frozen and still
the pangs
of love
sometimes can be
a bitter bitter pill.
no safety net
no parachute
to catch my
long awaited fall
raw throbbing pain
the horror of it all.
