i sit here
with my heart
in my hand
torn apart by life's journey
so much yet to understand.
dreams unfulfilled
hopes on a limb
don't know if i will
make it
still i try
my best to win.
i go forth
thru endless days
pray to the heavens
to light my way.
yet i sit
alone in the dark
and wait for god's strength
so i can start
...to live again.
